Our niche core competencies and services lay in the provision of services and equipment in the electrical, instrumentation and control arena.
Profound Engineering operates primarily in the Southern African and African power generation and mining industry providing design and supply of equipment for furnaces, industrial plants, mines, power generation, substations and transmission of electricity.
Services include technical, economic and financial analyses, due-diligence reviews, feasibility studies, site evaluation, engineering design, procurement, project and construction management, commissioning and training. Projects can be taken from the initiation stage through the project lifecycle to commercial handover, if required.
Specialised electrical services include electrical system studies, protection co-ordination, transient stability analysis, fault finding, equipment testing, medium Voltage certificates of compliance and commissioning. Profound Engineering electrical capabilities include the entire voltage spectrum from low voltage up to and including 275kV transmission lines and substation design and construction. Profound Engineering have vast experience in the design and specification of electrical equipment from MCC’s, cabling, protection schemes for substations, large AC motors, generators and transmission lines.
Profound Engineering have experienced staff who has been involved in hydro power plants, electrical reticulation from 240 volt up to 275kV, co-generation power plants, furnaces, petro-chemical refineries and various other industries.
Specialised instrumentation and control services include design, install and commission of field instrumentation, control systems and software development. We also specialize in the analysis and optimisation of existing installations. We even supply after hours breakdown assistance to assist our clients in the speedy recovery from disruptive events.
